An EP packed with percussive grooves that are tailor-made for strutting your stuff in the sunshine
With the BPM festival well underway
over in sunny Mexico, those of still stuck here at home in cold,
rainy Britain will just have to console ourselves with this
seven-track sampler from Leftwing & Kody's Lost Records.
Tuff, rolling tech-house grooves are
the order of the day generally here, coming from a mix of artists
both fairly well-known (Timo Garcia, Raffa FL & Ruben Mandolini,
Vidaloca & Piem) and somewhat less so (Caal & Baum, Ian Jay &
Matt Williams, Kreature, Eskuche & Nu Sky ft Nathan Kersaint).
That's not to say there's no variety on offer, though, with standout
tracks including the throbbing acid nouveau of Eskuche & Nu Sky's
The Moment, Raffa FL & Mandolini's fierce, drummy Hot
Girls and Vidaloca & Piem's more funk-fuelled Blow with
its gloriously old skool piano stabs.
If you're looking for some fresh ammo
for tougher house floors, you won't go far wrong here.
